Oz & Co.

AT A GLANCE

Based in Toronto, where dog wellness meets creative storytelling, we are built from lived experience and 20+ years in creative leadership.

Our Story

Oz & Co. was born from lived experience.

After spending more than two decades leading creative strategy and visual storytelling for global brands, I found myself facing something far more personal: navigating the overwhelming world of pet health, recovery, wellness, and care for my own dog, Oz.

Like many pet parents, I quickly realized how difficult it can be to find trustworthy guidance without falling into a sea of conflicting advice, marketing noise, and disconnected resources.
At the same time, I saw something else clearly, many incredible veterinarians, rehabilitation specialists, trainers, and independent pet brands were doing deeply valuable work, but struggling to communicate it in a way that felt clear, approachable, cohesive, and easy for pet owners to navigate.

Oz & Co. was created to bridge that gap.

By combining my background in creative leadership, branding, and strategic communication with firsthand experience inside the pet wellness world, I built Oz & Co. to help simplify, elevate, and connect. Whether supporting local veterinary and wellness practices with thoughtful creative tools, or helping pet owners discover trusted resources and products, everything we do is rooted in clarity, compassion, and genuine care for the dogs at the center of it all.

Hi, I’m Silvia Drugea.

Founder | Chief Creative Officer | Head Chef & Treat Dispenser for Oz

I’ve never known a life without animals, and honestly, I can’t imagine one. A world without dogs especially feels a little quieter, a lot dimmer, and far less connected.

My love for animals began in Romania, where I spent most of my childhood befriending the strays in my neighbourhood and sharing whatever snacks I had with me. If my family couldn’t find me, there was a good chance I’d wandered off with one of my many four-legged companions.

After moving to Toronto, my first job at 16 was at a boarding kennel that regularly supported rescue overflow. It was one of the first times I truly understood the depth of our responsibility to animals and how deeply they rely on us to advocate for them.

Over the years, that connection only deepened through volunteering, rescue work, and caring for my own animals through complex health challenges. From navigating my German Shepherd Foster’s TPLO surgery and recovery, to managing daily insulin treatments for my diabetic cat, Kitt Kat, to supporting Oz through life with unpredictable idiopathic epilepsy, I’ve experienced firsthand the fear, uncertainty, and emotional exhaustion that can come with loving an animal through difficult seasons.

I’ve also seen the gaps — the overwhelm, the conflicting information, and how difficult it can be to find support that feels both trustworthy and genuinely compassionate.

Professionally, I’ve spent more than two decades leading creative teams, building brands, and crafting visual stories for globally recognized companies. But throughout every chapter of my career, animals remained the constant thread pulling at my heart.

Oz & Co. is the natural intersection of those two worlds: lifelong devotion to animals and a career built around communication, connection, and storytelling.

At its core, this work is about helping pet owners feel less alone, helping good people in the industry communicate more clearly, and ultimately creating a more connected, supportive space for the animals who give us everything.

Meet Oswald Odin — a.k.a. Oz

Chief Inspiration Officer | Director of Daily Perspective | Head of Heart & Hustle

This is Oz, the heart, namesake, and driving force behind Oz & Co.

A black German Shepherd cross with unmistakable presence, Oz is equal parts intensity, intelligence, sensitivity, and charm. From his peanut butter-coloured paws to the hidden flashes of white beneath his dark coat, he’s always carried a little duality with him.

Living with idiopathic epilepsy over the past four years has shaped much of our journey together. It has taught me more than I ever expected about advocacy, patience, specialized care, and the emotional reality of loving an animal through chronic health challenges.

But beyond his diagnosis, Oz’s personality is what truly defines this brand.

He is deeply intuitive, highly opinionated, and incredibly selective about the energy he allows into his world. Trust with Oz is earned — never assumed — and he reminds me daily that meaningful connection is built through consistency, respect, patience, and presence.

When he’s not managing the complexities of his wellness routine, Oz can usually be found supervising operations closely, monitoring every movement in the house, and making it very clear when he disagrees with a decision.

As far as he’s concerned, Oz & Co. is his company. I’m just the assistant.
